First tasks upon arrival: to envision, plan, deploy and lead the new marketing and communication department and at the same time to revamping the commercial area.
Marketing: Redefining of the brand’s positioning and communication, with a clear internal impact on the company and the consequential resonance outwards to the Marketplace. Steady growth of the company from here on after.
Setup and deployment of the company’s loyalty program and strategy for frequent customers/travelers – laying the groundwork for a future CRM.
Steering technical and design (external partners) teams in the development and design of several company websites and mobile apps.
Redefining and fine tuning of the brand using and managing commissioned market studies, towards a simpler Customer journey, homogeneous communication, and a seamless brand feel along a multitude of touch-points. Strategic planning and brand launching in social media with a sensitive and close approach in creative copy-writing (a soft spot!).
Communication: Redefinition of the brand’s communication strategy and positioning, with a clear impact on the commercial side as well. The brand acquired new dynamics and changed its positioning, allowing the business to grow in different market segments. Managed and over-viewed all communication channels.
Commercial: Def ining, side by side with the company’s Managing Director, the commercial strategy: revamping of the pricing strategies, redefining of all price structures and promotional class fares.
Defined and changed the company’s digital positioning, by implementing considerable changes in terms of accessibility and user friendliness in all online channels. This was achieved also by quickly diversifying means
of payment and online channels, resorting to external partners and online agents and distributors. Rapid scaling was key to a fast-online growth as well.
In 2013 the company needed a hands on approach to Quality Management and I took on the Department of Quality Management, adding this management task to the rest of my responsibilities. Several internal and external audits managed resulting in a mature, constantly improved Quality Management System.

Direct Support to the Marketing Director in all marketing areas, more specif ically in the road transport business.
Lead an interesting technical project: to manage the GPS mapping of an entire transport network using GIS. Controlled (and traveled!) along a network spanning across half of the Portuguese country.
Supported the implementation of the company’s marketing and commercial strategies; supported marketing and new business in official applications to transport tenders.
Went through technical training for 10 months in several European cities and transport networks. Marketing, but mostly commercial and communication skills were the top priorities of this comprehensive training in France and in the UK.
