SE - NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Position Description.
Responsible for the daily performance and availability of the network security infrastructure.
Analyzes network and recommends upgrades/changes; assesses organization's current and future network needs.
Oversees the daily operations of network staff and records incidents and changes.
Responsible for Network Evaluation & Proposals Perform in-depth analysis of events and logs for Detecting malicious applications and network activity, Common attack techniques that compromise hosts, Detecting and analyzing system and network vulnerabilities and Continuous process improvement by discovering the root causes of incidents Hands-on experience in security devices –NIPS,Cisco Firepower Appliance, Checkpoint, Fortinet Firewall, IPS (desired) Broad knowledge of application and network security within an Enterprise scenario Well versed P1/P2 escalation handling & Provide Quick resolution during Major Issues.
Knowledge of common data Centre infrastructure and web application designs with the focus on DMZ Awareness of cloud-based IT security solutions.
Monitor and assure that NIPS devices and rulesets are up to date, activated, and compliant with baseline configuration Validate that the vendor ruleset feed automatic update process is working properly Manage & execute NIPS ruleset exception process to accommodate changes on the automatic vender feed ruleset Triggered by Global Security Operations center request or BU request Prepare and validate the configuration and represent the team in CAB.
Cooperate with GSOC and BU teams for ruleset tuning & IPS behavior support Monthly Service reporting following GCIO template.
Details will be detailed out during transition Monitor and report that BU’s are on hardware and software versions to be used for NIPS Willing to work on North America & Europe Business hours and provide the on call support based on the needs / Rota.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with specific focus on technical and operational documentation Skills.
