•	Develops, implements, and manages the aviation safety programme.
•	Develops the emergency response plan and ensures that it is communicated to all officials concerned.
•	Organizes and coordinates aviation safety drills and exercises required by the aviation safety programme.
•	Provide safety training and support to both seasoned and new employees by actively participating in station safety briefings, safety meetings, and new employee orientation.
•	Monitor the integration of aviation risk management into aviation activities.
•	Develops quarterly risk assessment indicators and analyses the level of safety of aviation activities.
•	Proposes the required corrective and preventive measures, develops aviation safety recommendations and communicates them to the officials concerned.
•	Investigates aviation occurrences involving air assets and observed hazards related to aviation activities, compiles reports and analyses statistical data.
•	Participates in the investigation of accidents and incidents involving air assts and equipment.
•	Identifies, analyses and monitors trends that may affect the safety aviation activities.
•	Conducts initial aircraft inspections and participates in the performance evaluations of civilian air operators.
•	Conducts safety surveys of airfields and helicopter landing sites.
•	Maintains the safety reporting database and ensures that the required reports are recorded in accordance with the established procedures and deadlines.
•	Provides safety briefings to personnel involved in aviation activities.
•	Promotes aviation safety awareness.
•	Organizes and conducts mission aviation safety council meetings.
•	Develops proposals for annual mission aviation safety budget.
•	Drafts safety bulletins, newsletters and consolidated reports.
•	Provides ERP, SMS and SMP training to personnel in aviation activities. 

•	Responsible for Administration - Aviation Safety, Quality System and General Administration 
•	Ensures adherence to the Quality System (ISO 9001:2015) as it pertains to the organization
•	Controls Quality Assurance Register, recording all internal and external quality documents
•	Researches latest amendments and updates to ISO comparing them to current documentation and revising if necessary
•	Performs quarterly internal audits to assess audit readiness in terms of external audit requirements
•	Prepares audit reports on results of audit and monitors follow up actions and documentation submitted 
•	Attends and participates in Quality and Safety meetings, preparing and circulating minutes
•	Manages the master list of calibration and tools/equipment, ensuring that regulatory maintenance and checks are applied
•	Liaises with audit bodies in order to schedule regulatory audits, managing travel arrangements for onsite and outlying audits
•	Gathers customer feedback and allocates onward for appropriate corrective action if required
•	Trains internal teams on Quality Awareness, recording in training matrix
•	Co-ordinates OHS representatives, first aiders and fire marshal training, recording in training matrix
•	Ensures compliance to OHS regulations, updating incident registers and capturing safety reports
•	Conducts monthly OHS audits, reporting on out of line situations and conducting follow-up visits
•	Administers IOD claims, Lanseria visitor permits and purchasing of first aid kits / replenishments
•	Coordinates the implementation of Quality Assurance as it interfaces with Supplier requirements: 
	Creating complete, accurate and properly authorised Purchase Orders
	Managing the Supplier Master List with a view to presenting an up to date supplier data base
	Reconciles Uniform supplier accounts vs purchase orders to ensure fair billing practices in line with agreements, while resolving any queries arising
	Co-ordinates the South African Civil Aviation Authority renovations – ensuring suppliers are paid on time in terms contractual arrangements as well as amendments and renewals
