FINANCIAL BUSINESS CONTROLLER (M/F/D) LISBON

Kelly Finance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Business Controller to join our client's growing company in Portugal.
You will be responsible for ensuring the company's financial health, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective financial control systems and processes.
Responsibilities.
Financial Planning and Analysis.
Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning and decision-making processes.
Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to the board to improve financial performance.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress against targets and facilitate proactive decision-making.
Financial Reporting and Control.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Business Partnership and Strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department heads to understand business objectives and provide financial guidance and support.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to contribute financial insights and align financial goals with overall company strategy.
Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and profitability analysis to drive business growth and efficiency.
Risk Management.
Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify control weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure compliance and minimize financial risks.
Qualifications and Skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Advanced degree (e.
., MBA) is preferred.
Proven work experience as a Financial Business Controller or a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment.
In-depth knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
Strong understanding of local accounting principles and tax regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using spreadsheets and financial software.
Strong business acumen and ability to align financial objectives with strategic goals.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
