BETTER Tasks Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect clean and transform data from various sources Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to design and implement data models and algorithms Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security Implement ETL processes and automate data workflows Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering Requirements Linux system administration and networking tooling including shell scripting.
Database internals and modeling techniques.
Java (bonus points for proficiency in Python and Scala).
Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop Hive Impala Spark and Kafka.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing techniques.
SQL NoSQL Databases.
Data structures and algorithms.
