Join our team in Porto as our new Tax Specialist and make your mark on our organization! In your Tax Specialist role, you also will do the following.
* Review accounting records, document content and applicability of Indirect TAX and legal regulations; * Preparation of account reconciliations and monthly VAT journal entries; * Prepare indirect tax returns as well as necessary compliance checks; * Liaise with internal counterparts in order to review individual transactions and proceed with any necessary corrections; * Liaise with the Indirect Tax manager and local Accounting regarding VAT queries; * Develop expertise and increase process efficiency and compliance by continuously monitoring, identifying and implementing improvements; * Assure clear and complete documentation for all procedures Requerimientos del candidato/a.
You are best equipped for this job if you have.
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar field of studies; * Experience in Indirect Taxes, Accounting or a similar role, preferably in an international and multicultural environment.
* Knowledge of VAT compliance is an advantage; * Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel; * Flexibility to identify and adopt process changes that increase efficiency and compliance; * Fluency in English.
