Full Time Qualification.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience.
Your future duties and responsibilities Steer and own overall product database.
Ensure the adherence to database engineering best practices across entire database environment; develop and implement needed checks and processes.
• Understand big picture and client needs by engaging with Product owners and build right database designs.
• Support development organization from all aspects associated with database.
• Build designs that satisfy both functional and non-functional needs of the product and client needs.
• Lead client data base upgrade & migration activities • Keep / Optimize database for operational and performance efficiency.
Identify any existing deficiencies and rectify.
• Database management, Maintenance and Troubleshooting activities.
• Handle deadlock, performance and other complex issues.
• Improve overall team’s knowledge and skills.
Your future duties and responsibilities Engage in client upgrade projects and drive requirements.
• Plan and drive migration/upgrade projects • Troubleshoot and perform RCA on incidents • Optimize database platforms • Perform health checks and right size environments • Carry performance tuning activities • Drive database automation • Hands on with writing Queries • Read execution plans – infer and advise changes based on the plans • Index monitoring/maintenance • Query Statistics monitoring/maintenance • Use Database Engine Tuning Advisor • Read through the Query Store reports, advise/suggest based on the observations • Use of Extended Event – logging, understand the reports and work/suggest on next steps Required qualifications to be successful in this role Must-to Have Skills.
Sybase DBA, DB Design and Modelling, DB Normalization, DB Development, DB Tuning.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
Should be Analytically very strong.
• Hands on expertise in Sybase Database.
Manage large Databases and solutions around that.
• Should have 8+ Yrs.
of experience in DB Design and Modelling, DB Normalization, DB Development, DB Tuning, SQL Reports.
• Successful track record in designing and implementing Sybase databases.
• Good command on DB Design and Modelling, DB Normalization, DB Development, DB Tuning, SQL Reports.
• Knowledge about the Agile, Microservices Based development process and needs.
• Self-driven with great technical interests, should be quick learner, should have attention to Details.
• Possess good communication skills and Client Interaction experience.
• Earlier experience of working in products is preferable.
• Proficient in setting up Sybase(New database server setup) • Troubleshooting & RCA • Processing Data Base Change Request • Database/PLSQL Packaging • Scrub script preparation • Data masking • Schema Upgrade/Refresh (Upgrade to specific Build#) • Performance Tuning activities • Schema Creation • DBCM Code changes/design discussions • Environment Refresh (Client data dump import/export) • SSAS Deployment/Insights activity Good-to-Have Skills.
