SPLUNK ADMINISTRATOR - TS CLEARED

Position Description.
We are seeking an experienced Splunk Administrator to join our Infrastructure Operations team.
The Splunk Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Splunk platform to support our client's data analytics and security needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering and optimizing Splunk deployments, as well as experience in managing and troubleshooting complex IT environments.
This position is located in Washington, DC.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
Install, configure, and maintain Splunk enterprise infrastructure and associated components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design Splunk solutions to meet business needs.
Develop and implement Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
Monitor and troubleshoot Splunk infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability issues.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Splunk environment.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify security incidents using Splunk.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on leveraging Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting purposes.
Stay up to date with the latest Splunk features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve the Splunk environment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Splunk Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Splunk architecture, deployment strategies, and best practices.
Proficiency in configuring and managing Splunk indexers, search heads, and forwarders.
Experience in designing and developing Splunk dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Solid understanding of log management, data parsing, and data normalization techniques.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.
., Python, shell scripting) for automation and customization.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
Linux and Ansible experience desired.
Splunk certifications (e.
., Splunk Certified Administrator, Splunk Certified Architect) are a plus.
