About the Role.
Exercise superior judgment and discretion to guide the procurement of Direct materials and services to meet strategic objectives.
Evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate and administrate purchase orders  while striking an optimum balance between cost, quality, delivery and service.
Hire, train and develop purchasing personnel to organize and execute the purchase of materials using an ERP system.
Your Responsibilities Include.
Supplier Management.
Bargains in good faith and adheres to corporate integrity and fair negotiation practices Participate in supplier communications where there is an issue of significant impact to the business.
Actively drive supplier participation in VIP process, six sigma & lean initiatives Lead business continuity discussions to identify sole source and high risk suppliers.
Staff Development.
Develop staff through coaching, mentoring and recruiting.
Work with, review and evaluate buyer recommendations on supplier selection, performance, negotiation and bids.
Responsible for the motivation and development of employees to optimize their personal and professional growth.
Demonstrate leadership, set continuous improvement goals and department objectives, review performance regularly and deliver performance reviews.
Create an environment of positive reinforcement and teamwork.
Actively increase technical expertise in Purchasing.
Assure the purchasing department keeps abreast of the latest market and pricing trends affecting the company.
Systems.
Possess working knowledge of computer system, preferably SAP and Rapid Response.
Manage the creation and maintenance of documented Purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GMP and ISO requirements.
Reviews and approves engineering change request, originates approved supplier list and executes CR dispositions.
Develops, establishes and administers reports and systems that allow for a cost effective and efficient purchasing function.
Department Management.
Develop and implement Procurement strategies.
Achieve the corporate goals and objectives at the lowest possible total cost.
Work toward continuous improvement and streamlining of the procurement process to eliminate non-value activities.
Establish and maintain purchasing practices and policies to ensure an honest, fair and ethical relationship.
Manage culture change in a changing operating environment.
Ability to develop and manage a new operating model for activities and collaborate with other areas as Supplier Engineer, SQE, Global Sourcing and Planning.
Promotes and maintains close working relationships within Purchasing and all external departments, seeking assistance to qualify new suppliers and new materials, to monitor costs and quality of purchased products and develop necessary reports.
Constantly look for opportunities to optimize the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with inventory turnover and customer satisfaction goals.
Maintain consistent communication with key stakeholders during events to ensure all deliverables and timelines are met.
Participate in new products, transfer or acquisition and facilitate the assigned team.
What We’re Looking For.
Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Engineering or applicable field.
At least 7 years of experience in similar position.
English Level desired.
above 80%.
Desired knowledge.
SAP, Supplier Management, Rapid Response, Purchasing and inventory.
Previous experience in successfully managing teams or operating group.
Ability to lead and build a team and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
