CALL for a POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP Associação para o Desenvolvimento da Aerodinâmica Industrial - ADAI opens a call for (1) post-doctoral fellowships, in the framework of project EUDETCODE, reference PA nº B.

Mechanical Engineering; Chemistry Skills/Qualifications/Admission requirements - Knowledge and experience of the detonation / combustion process and handling of energetic materials - Portuguese Nationality; Work plan/ Objectives - Design and characterization of a laser interferometry velocity measurement system for high velocity projectiles - Verification and calibration of the EUDETCODE - Writing of reports and scientific papers Regime.
The attribution of the fellowship does not generate or entitle a relation of a legal-labour nature, and the fellowship is undertaken in an exclusive dedication regime.
The fellowship holder is awarded the Fellowship Statute of ADAI, in its current wording, according to the Research Fellowship Holder Statute, and according to the Regulation for Research Fellowships of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.
., both in their current wording.
Location.
Work will be developed within the activities of the Association for the Development of Industrial Aerodynamics of the Associated Laboratory in Energy, Transport and Aeronautics (ADAI-LAETA).
The workplaces are the Mechanical Engineering Department, Laboratory of Energetics and Detonics or other places that are necessary for the execution of the work plan Duration.
The fellowship will last for 12 months on an exclusive basis, with the possibility of renewal, but never beyond the end date of the project, in accordance with the FCT Research Fellowship Regulations and the ADAI Scientific Research Fellowship Regulations.
Renewal.
The eventual renewal of the scholarship will be done as determined in art.
6 of the Regulation of Research Scholarships of the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.

The amount of the fellowship is € corresponding to the monthly compensation stipulated in the FCT table (https://www.

The payment will be made by bank transfer.
This amount will not increase during the entire period of the fellowship duration.
Selection Methods.
All applications submitted within the deadline and containing all required documents will be evaluated Selection criteria.
The evaluation will be based on Curriculum Evaluation (AC) and Interview (E) to the three-best classified in the AC.
All admitted applications will be ranked according to the weighted average of the score obtained on 1 to 100 in each of the following evaluation criteria.
(i) absolute merit of the Curriculum Vitae (M); (ii) suitability of the candidate's profile to the work plan (PT); (iii) additional characteristics (CA), such as the motivation shown for the work to be carried out and availability to start the scholarship.
The three-best candidates classified in the Curriculum Evaluation (AC) will be interviewed.
In Interview (E) the parameters to be considered are the following.
(i) Communication skills (CC) (ii) Motivation and Interest for the workplan (MI).
The classification formula for the positioning of candidates in the Curriculum Evaluation (AC) will be as follows.

If there are no candidates with a Curriculum Evaluation greater than 60%, the Jury reserves the right not to award the scholarship.
Regarding the classification formula for the positioning of candidates in Interview (E) will be as follows.

The non-appearance in the interview is considered as a withdrawal by the candidate.
For tiebreaking purposes, the final ranking list will be based on the scores assigned to each of the evaluation criteria in the following order.
Curriculum Evaluation (AC) and Interview (E).
Applicants whose application is scored with a final grade lower than 45 points are not eligible for scholarship award.

At all times during the evaluation process, confidentiality is fully protected and ensured in order to guarantee the independence of all opinions produced.
Applications.
The following documents are mandatory, under penalty of exclusion from the Call, and must be sent by email to .
- letter of motivation, where the applicant must mention if he / she is available to start the scholarship; - Curriculum Vitae, with indication of email and telephone contact and publications; - Certificate of qualification, - the candidate's declaration of honor on the benefit of other previous scholarships awarded under the current FCT Scholarship Regulation - any other elements or documents considered relevant.
Submission deadline date 13th june Additional information The evaluation results will be announced within 90 working days after the end of the applications submission deadline, by notifying the applicants via email.
After the announcement of the results, candidates are considered automatically notified to, if they wish to do so, comment on the results on a preliminary hearing period within 10 days after that date.
After this, the selected candidates will have to declare in writing their acceptance.
Unless a justification worthy of consideration is presented, if the declaration is not submitted within the referred period, it is considered that the candidate waivers the fellowship.
In case of resignation or withdrawal of the selected candidate, the next candidate with the highest evaluation score will be notified immediately.
Once the selection process is completed, the fellowship contract will be drawn up in accordance with the draft contract provided by the FCT.
