We are looking for a DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR to join our DATABASES’S TEAM at BIT.
Reporting to the Area Coordinator, the Database Administrator’s mission is to supply complete support for all aspects of various database environments, supporting MC’s applications, to a variety of support teams and end-users.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOUR DAY… Manage and operate MC solutions at the database layer following market best practices with focus on availability, performance and compliance; Configure, maintain and optimize databases; Administer backup and recovery procedures; Troubleshoot operational problems and root cause analysis; Document and report KPI’s and SLA’s; Be a part of MC IT projects planning and implementation; Participate in on-call rotation and periodic overtime.
WHAT MAKES YOU THE ONE… Knowledge of managing and tuning common database engines like Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, CosmosDB or other No-SQL and Oracle Forms & Reports; Experience with High Availability Clusters (RAC / Microsoft High Availability Cluster & Always-On, …); Monitoring with OEM Cloud Control, Microsoft SCOM or 3rd party tools; Linux/Unix and Shell scripting / Windows Power Shell and automation tools like Ansible and/or Terraform; Cloud operation skills (Oracle and/or Azure).
