CONFIGURATION MANAGER

Position Description.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Configuration Manager to join our team.
As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the configuration of our software and hardware systems.
You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and quality assurance teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of our products.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in configuration management processes and tools, excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities.
- Develop and implement configuration management processes and procedures to ensure the successful deployment and operation of software and hardware systems.
- Manage and maintain the configuration of software and hardware systems throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and enforce configuration management standards and best practices.
- Maintain and update configuration management tools and systems.
- Monitor and track changes to software and hardware configurations, ensuring proper documentation and version control.
- Coordinate with system administrators to ensure proper deployment and configuration of software and hardware systems.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure proper testing and validation of software and hardware configurations.
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide timely resolution.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration management processes to identify areas for improvement.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
- Proven experience as a Configuration Manager or similar role.
- Experience with a command-line interface, preferably Linux - Experience working with Windows and Windows Server - Strong knowledge of configuration management processes and tools, such as Git, Subversion, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices, such as Agile or DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Certification in Configuration Management (e.
., CMII) is a plus.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
