Responsibility for contracting and importing the raw material
• Negotiation of contracts for the purchase of raw sugar from international producers and traders;
• Coordinator of the representation group of European sugar refineries to suppliers from ACP countries and producers from the Brazilian NE;
• Management of supply needs, in face of annual sales and production plans, planning and monitoring the arrivals of bulk sugar vessels and their discharges;
• Contracting of port unloading services (stevedoring) and transportation of raw sugar in bulk
• Coordination of all articulation with internal and external entities, both operationally and administratively, with attention to capacity and customs issues, in order to ensure regular and timely supply; approval of vessels, according to technical characteristics and port operations; analysis of documentation, meeting specifications, rules of origin, non-GMO, child labor, etc.
• Experience of presenting solutions in difficult cases that would otherwise risk the supply of the factory - ex. fire that consumed the raw material shed in 2007; decisions on highly complex vessel discharges and agreement between the parties (supplier, insurance, supervision, customs).

Responsible for the export of Sidul (PT) and Tate & Lyle (UK) products to the African continent (e.g. Angola, South Africa, Ghana), focused on increasing sales of value-added products and the development of new markets and sales channels, not neglecting the consolidation of the existing presence and closer relations with strategic partners.
Supervision and Coordination of all export activity, namely:
• Negotiation and pricing, based on specific logistics, incoterms, costing of products and documentation of each contract;
• Follow-up of the futures market (sugar quoted on NY Stock Exchange);
• Maintaining close relationships with key customers, whether traders or end customers, in order to anticipate problems and needs and more proactivity in presenting proposals for appropriate win/win solutions;
• Prospection and opening of new clients - ASR Group's due diligence process and identification of the best partners in new markets;
• Articulation between the client and the various internal and external entities, in terms of production planning, supply chain, customs clearance, tax issues and customer service;
• Preparation of annual export sales budget;
• Systematic monitoring and reporting of sales performance, in light of the forecasts;
• Monitoring of political and economic situations in certain markets that can affect the decisions and strategies defined.

The supply of raw material is of the utmost importance in a refinery and sugar is a much regulated product in the EU, which requires constant monitoring of European sector legislation, in a parallel function of proximity to decision makers:
• Relationship with the elements of the relevant institutions, such as: General Directorate of Customs; Ministry of Agriculture; actions in the European Parliament, with Portuguese MEPs and others; European Commission, DG Agri and DG Trade; REPER in Brussels and diplomatic representations of various countries to raise awareness of the impact of agricultural and trade policies or of international agreements being prepared, and to influence decisions.
• In-depth knowledge of legislation, customs procedures, practices and international trade rules
• Support for the strategic decision-making of Sidul's top management.
• Representation of Sidul in the Fairtrade accreditation process
• Promotion and follow-up of Kosher and Halal certifications

• Responsibility for implementing some improvements in internal communication and operation in finished product warehouses and industrial loads and in reports integrated with SAP;
• Key user in the implementation of the SD module of the SAP system;
