The WPS project engineer is responsible for the management and practical implementation of detailed engineering activities by managing the various disciplines (and therefore resources) during the practical execution of the project or the detailed bidding phase ensuring compliance with the design criteria and international standards as well as good engineering practices for each disciplinary activity.
Depending on the needs and indications of the Head of Technology and Maintenance, can give assistance to production needs, rather than participate in the selection and sizing of new plants, or be involved in Research and Development.
Duties and Responsibilities Details.
- Review and comment of technical annexes included in the contract; in case of discrepancies, mistakes or deficiencies in the documents, develop a list of clarifications/comments to be submitted to the respective Discipline Coordinator/Lead and subsequently to the PEM.
- Prepare the applicable standards and technical specifications if they are not included in the contract technical documentation.
- Attendance in relevant meetings as kick off meeting and project review meeting.
- Attendance to meeting with Client, if requested.
- Act as discipline approver for all Instrumentation, Automation and Telecommunication Engineering deliverables (specifications, datasheets, studies, report, etc), whilst following all operation procedures.
- Check of subcontracted discipline engineering documents and Vendor information reviews.
- Establish and maintain effective interface between the Instrumentation project team and other disciplines teams, Project Management, Client representative.
- Ensure adequate flow of design information to the other members of the design team.
- Examine the contractual Vendor List with the Procurement Department.
- Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Provide progress reporting and forecasting input to the WPM.
- Ensure deliverables quality in term of technical content, compliance with design criteria, international standards and contractual requirements.
- Monitor of design discrepancies between detail phase and bidding phase (quantities and equipment dimensions).
- Make available interdisciplinary technical information as required by other disciplines and according to project schedule.
- Provide Vendor follow-up technical support, if required by other disciplines.
- Ensure technical support during bidding phase.
- Verify the selection of the suitability of the plants proposed to the Customer through special calculation programs Work Experience Requirements.
- Process Engineer with a minimum stay of 3 years in the role being able to preside individually the full life cycle of a EPC project.
- Consolidate knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Process and Machinery, Commissioning and accurate competences of techniques and tools.

Education Requirements.
- Laurea Magistrale and/or Specialistica (as well Chartered Engineer, A-levels + 5 years’ study) Work Conditions.
- Office, home office and Site attendance Other Specific Requirements.
- Familiarity with Company Tools, Procedures and Process (Construction Management Systems, Document Management System, Project Control Standards, Hysys, etc.
