UI ENGINEER

Position Description.
CGI is seeking a UI Engineer.
In this role, you will lead the development and architecture of user interfaces for our web and/or mobile applications.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, front-end developers, and product managers, to create intuitive, visually appealing, and high-performance user interfaces.
Your role involves both hands-on development and providing architectural guidance to ensure the scalability and maintainability of our UI components.
• This is fulltime position.
Contract is not allowed for this role.
• Candidate should be flexible to work in Hybrid model from any of our CGI offices.
No remote work allowed.
• Candidate should be willing to work in Eastern time zone.
Key skills required are Angular 14+ with Expertise of Typescript, Html, Css/Scss.
Experience with Pipe, Validator, Forms, hands on coding, Angular Concept Utilization & Angular Design patterns and Architecture.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Define and implement the UI architecture and design patterns to ensure scalability, modularity, and maintainability of the codebase.
• Stay current with front-end development technologies, frameworks, and best practices to make informed architectural decisions.
• Optimize UI code and assets for performance and ensure fast load times and smooth user experiences.
• Ensure that UI components work seamlessly across different browsers and devices, addressing compatibility issues as needed.
• Maintain high code quality standards, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices in UI development.
• Create and maintain documentation for UI components, including design patterns, usage guidelines, and coding standards.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ year of experience in UI development, including experience as a lead or senior UI engineer.
• 5+ years in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.

• Strong understanding of UI design principles, usability, and user experience (UX) concepts.
• Experience with responsive web design and mobile-first development, UI/UX design tools (e.
., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems (e.
., Git) and build tools (e.
., Webpack).
• Experience performance optimization techniques and tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio of previous UI projects or contributions to open-source projects is a plus.
