To enhance security, we are developing cryptographic processing hardware components.
As part of this job, you will be responsible for testing a software integrated with hardware product that is capable of protecting secrets, thereby improving the security of cryptographic processing.
You will be part of a team with software engineers, embedded system engineers and architects which has the ultimate goal to develop a hardware component which is completely unique to the market.
To achieve this, the team follows an agile way of working.
The required software and hardware is delivered in sprints and the team is responsible for the complete development cycle.

You will join our Space Team in the Netherlands, your main base office will be located in Rotterdam.
Your role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the quality and functionality of our products.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of quality for the products we develop.
You can manage large amounts of requirements and map them against the test cases that you will write, while maintaining them in organized test suites.
This way you make sure that with a keen eye and through thorough testing you help us to deliver a top-notch end product.
You will be investigating and selecting appropriate test tools.
Your tasks also include executing tests, identifying opportunities for test automation, and meticulously analyzing test results to uncover any potential issues.
Clear and concise reporting of findings, including bugs and non-conformances, is crucial for effective communication within the team.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and mapping requirements, collaborating closely with the development team, and adhering to ESA standard documentation procedures throughout the testing process.
Things you need to be successful.
• You have a broad interest in technology and testing development of high-tech systems and you like to work and develop outside your knowledge area.
You have.
• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent experience • Minimum 2 year of experience in software testing • With strong ambition to do hardware testing • With strong ambition to learn about cryptography • Knowledge (desired) o ISTQB Foundation o ISTQB Advanced Technical Test Analyst • Experience with o Helix ALM, HP ALM or any equivalent software test management/life cycle tool.
(required) o Implementing new test tools in a test environment (desired) • You have demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills while working in a team.
Please note that holding an EU passport is mandatory for obtaining an EU Personal Security Clearance at the CONFIDENTIAL level, which is a part of our selection process.
