The Engineering Direction in EDP Generation mission is to be a reference on the EDP Group's Generation Platform in management and development of activities associated with carrying out of studies, projects, evaluations, specifications and opinions technicians, in the field of civil engineering, in the specialties of Dams and Construction Materials, supporting management of solid assets and the development of opportunities for focused growth.
To support us in this role, we are recruiting for the  Barragens Department.
Job Description.
Develop engineering studies and projects in multidisciplinary teams related to electric production assets, with a focus on the area of structures.
Develop tools/applications to support engineering studies and projects.
Develop models (finite elements and others) for a digital twin approach in the context of structure monitoring, structure maintenance management, and new project development.
Application of data science in the analysis, interpretation, and prediction of dam behavior.
Monitor technological and methodological trends in the sector and inform the organization about the main developments.
What we are looking for.
Bachelor or master’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred), Physical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering or related scientific areas; Professional experience between 3 and 8 years in performing the mentioned functions or equivalent roles; Availability to travel within the country, Spain or other countries; We value a professional background in engineering studies and projects, development of innovative solutions, and the development of tools for operational control and process automation; We value knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and the development of IT and automation projects; We prefer candidates with practical knowledge and applications of programming languages and methodologies (Python, R, C++ or JavaScript); BIM applications (Revit) and engineering simulation applications (Ansys, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional); We prioritize skills in teamwork, communication, interpersonal relationships, critical and innovative thinking, problem-solving, results orientation, curiosity, and the development of new skills.
