We're currently on the lookout for an SRE Tech Lead to join a team committed to revolutionizing traditional banking worldwide, seamlessly fitting into the dynamic and entrepreneurial Portuguese ecosystem.
As a vital part of this team, you'll be responsible for developing both technical and functional knowledge, providing support for designated applications, and taking a proactive approach to incident management by swiftly identifying effective solutions to recurring issues.
Your role will involve continuously improving and automating procedures, ensuring documentation remains up to date, and staying closely connected with the development team through regular follow-ups.
The ideal candidate will bring expert knowledge of Industrial Schedulers (BMC/Control-M), web server technologies (JBoss, TomCat, Apache, or IIS), and Script Automation (Shell, Python, and/or PowerShell).
Additionally, they'll be expected to provide training and share their expertise with the rest of the team.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities.
Effectively manage and solve production incidents; Participate in change management (applications and infrastructure), which involves collaborating with different teams such as development, sysadmin, DBA and networking; Keep documentation up to date.
document the components and operations of the applications (architecture, procedures, supervision need); Monitor applications and infrastructure effectively, compliant with the established SLA for all business lines; Control load capacity for the applications; Contribute consistently to the continuous automation and improvement of existing procedures; Work closely with the development teams on defining the architecture of new applications, according to the infrastructure standards; Manage backup data and ensure regular restoring tests.
Main Technical Requirements.
8+ years in similar roles; Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments; Expert with BMC/Control-M or other industrial scheduler; Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python and/or PowerShell); Expert with JBoss, TomCat, Apache or IIS; Expert with databases (Oracle, SQL Server and/or MySQL); Expert with monitoring tools (ideally Zabbix or Grafana); Good Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory and Kerberos; Very good networking knowledge; Expert with Infrastructure backups.
English - minimum B2 (mandatory); DevOps mindset; Good Knowledge of Kubernetes and Openshift is a plus; Ability to keep up with a demanding and fast-paced environment; Willingness to learn and evolve; Good communication skills; Good Leadership skills.
Ability to work in a team.
