SENIOR SMART CITIES ADVISOR PORTUGAL

We are looking for a fulltime senior advisor to work on consulting projects (special focus on the energy sector) and the development of the Portuguese market.
(Starting asap) Tasks What you will be doing As a senior advisor you will be responsible for collaborating on different projects in Portugal namely supporting cities with the European City Facility Deliveries Smart City Training for City Officers and designing Smart City Strategies.
This involves research project management and working closely with our clients and partners.
Additionally you will support us in acquiring new projects in the Portuguese region.
This will include activities like.
Communication approach towards the public sector.
Getting more cities to share best practices on the BABLE Platform.
Regular communication on behalf of BABLE with externals and key accounts in 11 settings and events.
Finding suitable funding opportunities for cities and for BABLE.
Application for national (Portugal and Spain) and international (EU) funding calls.
You will be part of the IBERIA team.
Travel time approx.
15%.
Requirements What you can bring in Great communication skills and the ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team.
Extraordinary research skills.
Ability to deliver highquality results in independent work.
Flexibility to travel (mostly in Portugal).
Good understanding of Energy Systems including Energy Communities Electricity Grids Electric Vehicles Energy Efficiency (including buildings).
Experience in the area of smart/sustainable cities/urban planning/digitalisation.
Your profile MSc.
in a relevant field such as Energy Mechanical Environmental Chemical Engineering Smart Cities.
From 5 years of experience in the Energy field in Portugal.
Desired.
experience in the delivery of projects (nontechnical are accepted) with municipalities in Portugal (incl.
Energy field).
Desired.
Experience in the local and national policies and funding programmes in Portugal.
Your languages.
Portuguese (Native) English (Professional proficiency) other EU languages such as Spanish or German are an added value.
