SAP BW WITH ABAP DEVELOPER (5-8 YEARS EXPERIENCE)

Position Description.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in SAP BW to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in ABAP programming and BW development, with a deep understanding of data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes within SAP BW.
This role requires proficiency in various SAP technologies, solid debugging skills, and the ability to collaborate with functional teams to provide robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities.
• SAP ABAP Development.
Design, develop, test, and maintain ABAP programs for SAP BW systems.
Implement complex ABAP reports, function modules, and enhancements to support business requirements in SAP BW.
Optimize ABAP programs for performance, ensuring efficiency in terms of memory and processing.
Develop custom solutions using ABAP within SAP BW, focusing on data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
Work on ABAP Workbench, Smart Forms, ALV Grids, and SAP Script for report generation.
• SAP BW Development.
Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes within SAP BW to load data from various sources (SAP, non-SAP, flat files).
Develop and enhance InfoProviders (ODS, InfoCubes, and DSOs).
Implement custom DataSources and DataTransfer Processes (DTP).
Work with BW Query Designer to create custom queries and reports in SAP BW.
Optimize data loads and improve performance for SAP BW systems.
Support the functional team in creating BEx Reports and Web Reporting.
• Integration with Other Modules.
Collaborate with functional teams to integrate SAP BW with other modules such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, and third-party systems.
Develop and support integration solutions for SAP BW with SAP PI/PO, SAP HANA, and other reporting tools.
• Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting.
Perform performance tuning for ABAP programs, BEx queries, and data loads to ensure optimal system performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data extraction, transformation, and reporting within BW.
Address issues in SAP BW environments related to system errors, data inconsistencies, and performance degradation.
• Documentation and Support.
Prepare technical documentation for custom development and configuration settings in SAP ABAP and BW.
Provide post-production support and troubleshooting assistance for issues related to SAP BW and ABAP developments.
Coordinate with the business analysts and functional consultants to gather requirements and ensure that the solution meets business needs.
Key Skills.
• SAP ABAP.
Expertise in ABAP Workbench (Reports, Forms, Enhancements, and Function Modules).
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP and ALV Grids.
Experience with ABAP-OO, Smart Forms, SAP Script, and IDOC.
Performance tuning and debugging skills for complex ABAP applications.
• SAP BW.
Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BusinessObjects (BO), and SAP HANA.
Knowledge of BW Data Extraction, InfoProviders (ODS, InfoCubes, DSOs), and Data Transfer Processes (DTP).
Expertise in BW Query Designer and BEx Analyzer for reporting.
Experience with SAP BW/4HANA architecture and Data Modeling.
• SAP Integration.
Experience in integrating SAP BW with SAP ECC, SAP CRM, SAP S/4HANA, and other third-party systems.
Knowledge of SAP PI/PO, HANA Data Services, and SAP Data Hub for integration.
• Other Skills.
SQL and Performance Tuning in SAP BW.
Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP HANA Cloud is a plus.
Familiarity with SAP HANA Views and SAP Cloud Platform.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications.
• Education.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience.
5-8 years of experience working as an SAP ABAP Developer with significant exposure to SAP BW.
• Certifications.
SAP certification in ABAP or BW (preferred but not mandatory).
• Languages.
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
