We are seeking a skilled Pre-Sales Architect/Lead to join CGI’s Retail Practice in Bengaluru who can handle the technical Pre-Sales for the opportunities generated from our Retail clients.
The ideal candidate will work on solutions positioning in convincing the customer on CGI’s capabilities in Retail, arrive at functional / technical solution based on the customer business challenges, collecting scope requirements from clients, preparing effort estimations, Statements of Work (SOW) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, and participate in solution defense meetings from India / travel to Europe / Americas based on the client location to secure new business.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with our onsite team & APAC Delivery teams to identify potential clients / new opportunities with existing clients • Participate and conduct discovery sessions and capture scope requirements from clients to understand their Business / IT service needs • Provide techno functional support during the pre-sales discussions with CGI’s Clients.
• Prepare presentations and engage input from related Retail delivery teams • Develop proposals, SOW and prepare RFP responses based on client requirements.
• Collaborate with the delivery management to assure the proposed solution can be delivered effectively and validate the scope, estimates of the services to be provided.
• Liaise with the development team to ensure that they are updated with the expectations of the customers when the project is won, so that the solution is properly delivered to the customer.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• years overall related IT work experience preferably with a Masters Degree • Minimum of 5 years in presales function in Retail solutions spanning POS, Store Operations, Merchandising, Inventory & Order Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Omnichannel platforms, Customer Service • Awareness of retail solutions including Oracle Retail, SAP Retail, Sterling OMS, Salesforce, POS Solutions, Anaplan, Payments, Analytics etc.
Good knowledge of any 2 SAP Retail technologies.
• Proven background in related IT services, specifically in Pre-Sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting.
• Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into a technical solution.
• Excellent written and verbal abilities, MS Office Expertise required • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and multitask • Experience in preparing SOWs, RFPs, and proposals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Good knowledge of retail industry, challenges and well read about future directions • Should participate in local or global retail industry meets • Must have very good knowledge of pricing and financial aspects of RFx • Experience in communicating and demonstrating solutions to clients Skills.
