ant to join us?Position SummaryAs a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer you will be part of a global, diverse and collaborative team and contributing on high sophisticated compute and sensing products driving to a safer, greener and more connected future of mobility.
In this role you will design, develop and implement test processes in manufacturing to support new product launches in mass production.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, develop test strategies, and implement robust testing solutions.
our RoleDevelop and optimize manufacturing functional tests (electrical and optical functional product requirements), working with the product development design expertsLead the acquisition of new test-equipment (statement of work, request for quotation, supplier nomination, design reviews, Equipment acceptance at supplier) to comply with industrialization timingCooperate with the Aptiv manufacturing location to receive the equipment and install, debug and release the equipment (including test software development, strain measurements, process capability studies, environmental health and safety review / release).
stablish documentation and provide training for test equipment and process in accordance to Aptiv guidelinesEnsure test equipment compliance in terms of product quality, test requirements (Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, customer requirements), and costsSupport product development team and collaborate closely with Lead Manufacturing Engineer to ensure flawless launches by applying and supporting tools like (P-FMEA, error proofing, test coverage analysis, Six Sigma)Perform product label drawing design review and lead the approval processSupport in OEM Request for Quotation phase by estimating equipment cost, lead time, and test timesSupport Lessons Learned sharing between sites and between Product LinesParticipate in escalation meetings on program management levelYour BackgroundBachelor\us or master\us degree in a technical field such as electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering or with a familiarity with electrical components & knowhow in electronics measurement device and equipment.
omfortable in software programming.
initiations in LabView & NI TestStand will be considered as an asset.
asic Project management capabilities & basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design of test tooling.
nowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray is a plus with a solid Knowledge in Six-sigma-for-Test and statistical methods.
trong problem solving skills, including hands on capability for S/W debugging, keen eye for details and a passion for continuous improvement.
