JAVA TECHNICAL LEAD WITH FRENCH

Position Description.
CGI, one of the largest independent IT and business consulting services firms in the world, is currently seeking a motivated, innovative JAVA Expert with a strong work ethic to join our in-house development team.

Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Participate in delivery teams which enhances existing Java apps, develop new apps or provides system integration services; • Work together with the PO to transform the business needs into technical requirements; • Assist Project Manager in the planning and estimation of project deliverables, and adhering to project schedules; • Provide Technical leadership and exposure across a broad scale of tools, technologies, and architecture models; • Provide direction, coaching and technical leadership guidance to the development teams during application development lifecycle; • Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards and best practices; • Contribute to continuous improvement of the development process; • Recruit new members when needed and accompany them in career development.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 2+ years of experience managing development team and software application as a Technical Lead; • Proficiency in Java-based back-end applications, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA,REST APIs, SQL and / or NoSQL databases; • Experience in delivering projects from concept to production; • Proven ability for identifying code issues, troubleshooting and fixing technical problems; • Leadership abilities to motivate and guide the team; • Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks; • Knowledge of various Javascript frameworks; • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical sessions; • Good verbal and written skills in French / English.
