The Role.
We are seeking a Head of Procure to Pay.
The role will report to the Director of GBS and will work closely with the rest of the GBS Management team to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the GBS Centre are improved.
You will contribute to being responsible for and optimizing the operational procurement process within the organization and handling the area with.
involves owning the P2P lifecycle, from sourcing to purchase requisitions, approvals, and payment processing.
work with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective operational procurement practices, compliance with company policies, efficient utilization of resources, and accurate management of accounts payable functions.
leading and developing their team to deliver high-quality services to the business and will be accountable for the overall performance and the quality of the services delivered to the business.
responsible for all work carried out by the process team, including the provision of those services in line with SLAs to internal and external team members.
Key responsibilities include.
Strategic Leadership.
Develop and implement the procurement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
See opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the P2P cycle.
Team Management.
Lead, mentor, and develop a hard-working P2P team.
Set clear performance goals and supervise progress.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Accounts Payable Management.
Manage the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and disbursements.
Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices while adhering to financial policies.
Collaborate with Finance to reconcile accounts and address discrepancies.
Operational Procurement.
Be responsible for the procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, negotiations, and contract management.
Collaborate with departments to understand their procurement needs and priorities.
Ensure the selection of reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
Policy and Compliance.
Develop and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular audits to maintain integrity and transparency.
Cost Control and Budget Management.
Supervise and control procurement budgets.
Implement cost-effective measures to reduce procurement expenses.
Analyse spend data and identify areas for cost optimization.
Technology and Process Improvement.
See opportunities for automation and digitization of procurement processes.
Implement procurement software and tools to streamline operations.
Continuously improve P2P processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge, and Skills Required Experience working within a GBS environment Confirmed experience in leadership roles Solid understanding of operational procurement and AP processes and standard methodologies.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and social skills.
Proven track record in developing andimplementing procurement/AP strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Compliance-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
Have a strong background in management of finance operations or reporting environment, and/or experience in delivering a continuous improvement agenda Adapts to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results Language Skills.
