EXPERIENCED DEVELOPER (AD2)

Position Description.
CGI is looking for a Experienced Developer (AD2) to join our team.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• We are currently looking for a developer profile (AD2), to be allocated on a transversal squad/dev team and dedicated to maintain and support our transversal framework on Data factory; • Data Factory is a key program that will deliver a Data Aggregation and Curation platform, based on a relational database and an ETL for modern and efficient data loading, transformation and control.
This aim is to create a unique centralized repository with a copy of operational and referential data, where all data are consolidated and harmonized, and where data quality is qualified as fit for purpose; • This position will work in an environment where the scopes of the technologies used in the projects will tend to grow; • This position will be an ETL developer on technologies, such as IBM Datastage PX and SQL, will provide user support and be trained on the technologies eligible.
In this role the candidate must be able to set up the environment before development, perform, document and record the necessary tests to provide acceptance evidences to the client.
Main Tasks.
• Participate in an ETL development cycle (Analysis, development, testing and deployment), mainly in IBM Datastage PX and SQL; • Ensure DevOps environment set up and configuration; • Ensure unit-testing, integration testing, automatic testing (mainly with Octane); • Ensure the application of the good technological and methodological practices recommended by CIB 2S; • Identify innovative ideas and proof of concepts according to project requirements; • Ensure maintenance and level 3 support of the application portfolio; • Acquire functional and/or technical expertise on the key elements of the application and/or technological portfolio; • Challenge business and/or technical requirements; • Contribute on technical solution definition; • Develop and customize enablers components; • Monitor performance and rectifying related issues; • Deliver projects with quality; • Experience in Agile context (like Kanban, Lean or SCRUM).
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
Technical Skills.
• IBM Datastage PX and/or other similar ETL tools; • SQL development skills (PostgreSQL is the DB used) PL/SQL development skills; • Experience in unit, integration and automated tests design; • Experience with GIT and Jenkins; • Experience with Shell scripting, Unix/Linux; • Experience in documenting bug reports, tickets, and code changes; • Technical analysis and documentation.
