s an Environment health and safety Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety excellence within our new cable business unit in Castelo Branco.
Your main responsibilities will include the following.
Develop and implement EH&S programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
onduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
rovide EH&S training to employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
ollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives related to environmental sustainability and occupational health and safety.
evelop EH&S activities within the scope of Certification processes ISO and related Standards.
Perform periodic reports on accidents and incidents at the plant while monitoring and analyzing EH&S metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate environmental and OSH analyses and monitoring (noise, gas emissions, wastewater, drinking water, among others).
ollaborate with external EH&S service providers, including occupational medicine, nursing services, and security services, to ensure comprehensive.
tay informed about emerging EH&S regulations and industry best practices, ensuring proactive compliance and risk mitigation.
our Background .
ngineering degree with H&S Certification or Bachelor's /Master's degree in Environment, health & safety with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industry fieldProven track record of driving EH&S excellence and implementing successful EH&S programs.
n-depth knowledge of EH&S regulations, including ISO .
trong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and develop actionable recommendations.
xcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
xcellent communication skills in English and Portuguese are mandatory.
Knowledge in cable Manufacturing will be a great asset in this role.
