END USER SERVICES OPERATIONS ENGINEER

End User Services Operations Engineers are responsible for operational management and stability and service innovation, achieving these through analysis and solutioning.
An engineer is expected to be strategically focused at all times, also looking at automation opportunities with the current services to simplify the operational model.
The Operations Engineer will work closely with the End User Services Platforms owners, Senior Engineers, and Regional Operations Managers to provide operational support and management of the relevant platforms.
They should expect to spend much of their time managing and supporting the day to day aspects of the End User Services platforms, analyzing current services, identifying/communicating operational improvements, and assisting in L2/3 Support across the EMEA region.
This is a varied role and so a wide-ranging skillset is required.
One day you may be looking into workstations that are not patching correctly, another day working with email or M365 issues, another assisting with meeting room and AV technologies.
The Role Provide Operational Engineering and support against the global End User Services platforms (e.
SCCM, Intune, Exchange, M365, PowerPlatforms, Active Directory, Collaboration Tools, Print, Audio Visual).
Assist the senior engineers and Technical Directors as required with maintenance and enhancements of all aspects of the End User Services environment including processes and documentation.
Identify engineering operational improvements, articulate to relevant platform owners and deliver improvement programmes.
Provide infrastructure support for Azure-hosted Exchange environments including maintenance and patching Maintain Information Security focus through risk mitigation and data loss prevention practices.
2nd/3rd line analytical problem solving to support Service Delivery SLA\us Creation of high-quality technical documentation and training material The Requirements A basic understanding of how applications interact with the Windows Operating System.
Experience in Enterprise Microsoft products and expertise in Active Directory.
Previous experience with core End User Services technologies such as SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows , Microsoft 365 Suite, Exchange, Print, Audio Visual and Collaboration technologies.
Experience with Exchange infrastructure support including maintenance, patching, and upgrade.
Experience with PowerBI, Power Automate and Log Analytics is desirable.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Entra ID, Virtual Machines, and Automation services.
Experience developing scripted solutions with Microsoft PowerShell.
Self-motivated achiever, quickly grasp and interpret salient information with the ability to take a can-do approach without the need for supervision.
Confident and effective communicator.
Good level of spoken and written English.
An ITIL qualification is desirable but not essential.
