biosurfit is a Portuguese diagnostics company focused on the development and manufacture of IVD tests for the point-of-care market with highly innovative proprietary technology and dedicated to the provision of medical diagnostic services.
As a certified laboratory, biosurfit offers different services in health care, from clinical analyses, exams, treatments, homecare services, among others.
Additionally, the company created an online platform dedicated to the online commerce of products from supplements, self-tests, non-prescription Medicines (MNSRM) and others.

Biosurfit is looking for a talented scientist to join its Research and Development team.
The successful candidate will integrate a fast-paced multidisciplinary team in an innovative project for point-of-care diagnostics.
The following skills are required for the post.
- MsC in Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field; - Solid knowledge on laboratory procedures, sample manipulation and assay detection techniques (Spectrophotometry, Microscopy, Chromatography, Fluorescence); - Experience on clinical diagnostics development is a plus+; - Proficiency on data analysis & statistics, knowledge on R or Python is a plus+; - Dynamic, pro-active and hands on approach to tasks and challenges; - Exceptional team-working and communication skills; - Autonomy and organization, ability to work with minimal supervision; - Analytical thinking, problem-solving attitude.
Responsibilities (training will be provided where necessary).
- Development of new point-of-care diagnostics assay based applications; - Integration/adaptation of benchtop procedures into microfluidic devices; - Data analysis, technical input/solutions for project challenges and progress reporting; - Compliance with regulatory requirements for R&D projects; - When required, assistance with other existing projects.
