Strategy and Deployment oDevelop and execute a comprehensive power procurement and renewable energy strategy for GKN plants – global scope oWork collaboratively with GKN stakeholders (H&S group Sustainability Team and others) to support the development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities.
oStudy trends and regulations in the energy space to proactively identify opportunities that will allow for optimal value proposition to GKN plants globally.
oReview energy markets to identify cost savings opportunities for GKN plants and Technology Centers operations globally.
oSupport the development and implementation of ESG strategy in line with GKN environmental commitments oWork with energy consultancy providers and local/regional energy regulators to work out guidelines that enable broader GKN strategies and objectives.
Supplier Management oMeasure and monitor supplier performance follow-up and manage all necessary action plans to ensure ESG targets are achieved oLead and support commercial negotiations with key suppliers to ensure budgeted commercial target achievement (negotiation, resourcing, efficiency, demand management etc.) oSupport GKN plants with any critical supplier issues oEnsure robust and appropriate supplier risk assessments conducted in accordance with Group and divisional policy/procedure Resources & Management oEnsure IDM buyers in the plant are aligned and adhere to strategy, targets supplier panel etc oDevelop and share Best Practices.
Reporting and System oEnsure transparency and accuracy of data in the purchasing information systems.
oConsolidate commodity report on a monthly basis oAdhere to internal procedures and statutory requirements for compliant environmental procurement and storage of all materials.
oAdhere to all relevant requirements of the GKN Integrated Loss Prevention policy and local regulations.

PPA and VPPA agreements experience •ESG strategy development experience •Deep experience in global wholesale power markets and understanding of principles and key drivers of energy hedging strategy •Exceptional analytical skill set to support review of electricity procurement strategies, utility tariffs, energy projects and power contracts with ability to extract relevant insights to develop sourcing strategies and support negotiations Strong Project Management skills with ability to manage stakeholder expectations Experience in conducting business reviews and developing communication plans •The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills •Proven track record for developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, senior executives and stakeholders in high-impact situations.
