Gravity Wiz is seeking a full-time remote content writer to help us tell the tales of our magical plugin suite to all who wander the land of WordPress! Who are we? Gravity Wiz is a friendly team of wizards devoted to providing enchanting add-ons, snippets, and tutorials for Gravity Forms.
Our core product line, Gravity Perks, consists of nearly 50 Gravity Forms plugins.
We’re on a mission to help WordPress builders achieve anything they can imagine using Gravity Forms! About the role (your quest).
As a dedicated content writer, you'll weave compelling stories, craft spell-binding tutorials, and articulate the wonders of our plugin suite to captivate wizards across WordPress.
Your quill will be the key to unlocking the potential of our add-ons, snippets, and guides, helping our customers achieve the extraordinary using Gravity Forms.
Skills and responsibilities Prolific prose.
Craft blog posts, guides, tutorials that educate, entertain, and engage our audience of curious WordPress builders.
A sorcerous storyteller — a true wordsmith with a keen eye for detail and clarity, capable of capturing our brand’s voice far and helping us share it far and wide.
Technically proficient.
This role consists of exploring Gravity Forms / Gravity Wiz builds, understanding how they work, and distilling down semi-complex takeaways into digestible and enjoyable content.
Product minded.
You will be become deeply intimate with our products and how they work, and become our all star go-to authority for writing about products and how they work in our ecosystem.
A WordPress wizard, with an understanding of basic web development principles being a plus.
SEO fundamentals.
With the support of the marketing lead, Infuse your writing with SEO best practices to ensure our tales are found by seekers of plugin wisdom.
A hungry self starter, capable of working on their own schedule and eventually developing their own roadmap.
A collaborative spirit, and a strong communicator.
You’ll be working with marketing sorcerers and support wizards, ensuring our content aligns with the brand and customer needs.
A day in the life An average day might consist of being handed an outline (or creating your own), firing up LocalWP, and exploring how to build something using Gravity Forms, Gravity Perks, and other plugins, researching builds, creating images/GIFs/videos of key parts, and writing an article about how you did it.
With the support of the marketing lead, developing new outlines and content ideas.
Exploring products new and old — and writing tutorials around popular use cases.
Brainstorming new content ideas based on common product use cases we’re seeing with our customers or pain-points our customers report wanting to learn more about.
Updating our documentation or writing announcements when new releases come out.
Working with the support team to find strong use cases and ideas for content.
What we provide.
The starting salary ranges from $ USD to $ USD per year, pending skills and experience.
This is a full-time, remote position, meaning you can work anywhere under the sun.
Meetings happen, but we try to be as async as possible! Unlimited paid time off, twice yearly raises, equipment allowances, and for US employees, contributions to both a 401(k) and health insurance.
