Position Description.
CGI has an immediate need for an AWS Python Developer to join our financial services team in Columbia, SC, Belton, TX or Lafayette, LA This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry.

This position is based in either Columbia, SC, Belton, TX or Lafayette, LA, or anywhere in the US where CGI has an office in the Central/Eastern Time Zones.

Your future duties and responsibilities.
The role of the AWS Cloud Engineer is to design, develop cloud infrastructure components to meet business and technical requirements.
The engineer must demonstrate the ability to efficiently certify technology capabilities, platforms, software and applications in AWS Infrastructure.
Troubleshoot, debug application(s) and/or AWS Cloud infrastructure component(s) and recommend enhancements for stable operations.
Document design and engineering standards; develop key performance metrics and operational guidelines for consistent & stable design, build, implement and operational processes.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
5+ years of experience working in a team.
Expertise in developing applications and services using languages such as Java, Python, SQL including coding, debugging, and using related technologies.
Experience using software and computer systems architectural principles to integrate enterprise computer applications.
2+ years of experience in AWS Glue jobs, ETL workflows, Spark, AWS EMR and ECS 2+ years of recent experience with building and deploying applications in AWS (S3, Glue, AWS Batch, Dynamo DB, Redshift, AWS EMR, Cloudwatch, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, StepFunctions, ElasticBeanStalk) for building, deploying and operating applications.
3+ years of Python, SQL, SparkSQL, PySpark Database knowledge and experience in handling large data stored in RDS and MS SQL Server is desired.
Proficiency with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Gitlab, Urban Code Deploy).
Experience in Urban Code Deploy and Gitlab is a Plus.
Experience with build tools (Gradle, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus) Ability to leverage DevOps tool stack to build, inspect, deploy, test and promote new or updated features.
Experience with implementing integration solutions with Microservices, RESTful Web Services and Web APIs Knowledge or experience in DevOps support and deployment including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, CICD is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal & written communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of an agile team (Scrum / Kanban)​​ Skilled in establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance and functional attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information.
Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.
Skilled in Influencing others within and across teams, including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.
Expert proficiency in the application of analysis/design engineering functions.
Expert proficiency in the application of non-functional software qualities such as resiliency, maintainability, etc.
Experience in advanced behavior-driven testing techniques.
Provide expertise for teams in all matters related to deployment, building and release process.
Experience in coaching and guiding others in the team to drive engineering culture.​ Education Requirement.
