AWS DATA ENGINEER

Position Description.
CGI has an immediate need for a AWS Data Engineer to join our team in Reston, VA, Plano, TX or Lafayette, LA.
This role is also open to hybrid in any city where CGI has an office in the Central/Eastern Time Zones.

​ • Design and develop various on-going projects for migrating on-premises applications to the AWS Cloud.
• Working with Architecture team for design and implementation of Big & Fast Data Infrastructure on AWS cloud.
• Guide other teams to design, develop, and deploy data sets and tools that support product use cases.​​​​ • Will be supporting DevOps and other PROD support teams.
​ Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 7+ years of Python, SQL, PySpark development experience • Strong SQL development experience • 5+ years of experience in building and deploying applications in AWS (EC2, S3, Glue, Batch, ECS Fargate, Dynamo DB, EMR, RDS, ELB, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Redshift, Cloud Front, CloudWatch etc.) • Experience with building RESTful Web Services • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal & written communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Desired Experiences.
• AWS Developer/Solutions Architect certification(s) will be preferred • AI/Machine Learning experience will be a plus​ Education.
