AUTOMATION PLATFORM ENGINEER - ANSIBLE TOWER

As an Automation Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Ansible automation solutions across various domains.
Your expertise will be instrumental in streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring seamless deployment of infrastructure and applications.
This role can be located in Hartford, CT or Cary, NC.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
Configuration Management Solutions.
Plan and design large-scale configuration management solutions using tools such as Ansible Tower, Chef, or Puppet.
Develop deployment workflows and version control systems (GIT/SVN).
Write playbooks and roles for operating system configurations.
Create custom modules and plugins in Python to automate complex tasks.
Automation and Scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand the role and capability of automation in IT Management.
Ensure ease of automation and scalability in all Git-based deployments.
Implement effective solutions based on standards and best practices.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
Integrate Ansible automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Work closely with DevOps teams to enhance deployment processes.
Execute code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
- Strong experience in building CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab, Jenkins) and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
- Prior work with Ansible Automation Platform (Ansible Tower) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Ansible for orchestration, configuration management, and workflow automation.
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Knowledge of version control systems (GIT/SVN).
Education.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications.
- Optional but beneficial- Ansible certification (e.
., Red Hat Certified Engineer in Ansible Automation).
