About the role.
Responsible for maintenance of research animal health, as directed by the attending veterinarian, through animal care duties.
Your responsibilities will include.
⦁    Observe PCSB safety practices.
⦁    Clean all animal housing.
Rinse the exercise area at the end of each day.
Properly dispose of all waste.
⦁    Disinfect each housing area once daily according to PCSB SOPs--to include floors, walls, and troughs.
Rinse thoroughly following disinfection.
Squeegee all housing areas after rinsing or disinfection to ensure rapid drying.
Scrub floor hallways once daily.
⦁    Feed each animal before noon daily, ensure that water is available free choice.
⦁    Exercise animals in groups known to be compatible without commingling sexes.
⦁    Communicate all animal health status issues to attending DVM and full-time veterinary technician.
⦁    Follow all PCSB and Boston Scientific security policies during shifts.
Stay current on and comply with SOPs, GLP regulations and other internal requirements.
⦁    Restrain animals for Veterinary technicians during treatments and diagnostic testing.
Required qualifications.
⦁    High School Degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience   Requisition ID.

This role is deemed safety-sensitive and, as such, candidates will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement.
