The first task will be to detect and segment objects in images using traditional computer vision methods.
It will be necessary to automatically separate the balls from the background and evaluate the accuracy of the segmentation.
Feature Calculation.
The second task will be to extract texture and shape features.
By using appropriate algorithms to calculate the shape attributes of the balls, it will then obtain textural attributes with gray level collaborative matrices.
Object Tracking.
The third and final task will be to track the movement of a ball by applying a Kalman filter.
Working with real and noisy coordinates, it will create a tracking algorithm and compare the tracked path with the real one.
