ANGOLAN COMPANIES HELD BY LISTED MULTINATIONAL PORTUGUESE GROUP – 2009 to 2018 – Angola – Industry (Metal Mechanical)/Construction/Real Estate
Part of the expatriate executive team that from scratch implemented in Luanda foreign investment related to construction and real estate industry, included construction of 2 factories (business boosted in Angola up to 70M$/year turn over. Acted as local company´s proxy, dealt with all legal matters, created, trained and supervised local HR department serving up to ~500 employees. Assisted commercial, financial, audit, procurement & logistics internal departments in their activity.

	Head of Legal Department
Followed and adhered company’s legal compliance to ensure smooth running and execution of legal/regulatory aspects on commercial and corporate law. Interpreted and negotiated complex shareholders and non-disclosure agreements, releases and contracts as well as resolved tax related issues. Conducted detailed meetings to discuss disputes and litigation matters and suggested effective resolution. Cultivated solid rapport with government authorities, partners, building owners, sub-contractors, partners and suppliers and evaluated overall contracts.
Advised and recommended on regulatory matters and legal compliance to board, executive and technical departments. Responsible for rendering legal counselling and assistance to all companies departments (financial, procurement & logistics, commercial, production, etc) as well the parent company board towards all kind of legal matters. 	Head of Human Resources Department
Ensured timely delivery and management of HR operations in accordance with local labour law and group policy. Streamlined wide spectrum of HR administrative process related to recruitment, development, and training, dismissals. Followed and adhered HR administrative compliance, negotiated contracts, and conducted labour minutes. Tracked and evaluated workers performance through evaluation of appraisal system. 
Managed to create, train and supervise the local HR department (a team of 2 expat and 4 locals employees) to provide services up to ~500 employees (400 locals and 75 foreigners).
Responsible for creation and supervision of HR administrative processes (recruitment, development and training, dismissals, time control procedures, payroll, HR data-base implementation and management [Primavera and SAP],  HR legal compliance, contracts and other labour minutes, performance appraisal system for workers and local workers training) as well superseded all issues related with foreign personnel (expatriates) such as visas, housing, travels and other. In charge of liaison with trade unions.

	Executive Manager
Oversaw regular back-office business operations, devised best management strategies, and ensured the adherence of company guidelines. Rendered effective directions to logistic and procurement departments and employed internal purchase rules. Steered efforts to establish legal contractual models for import and export process of goods from origin to destiny, and expand quotations comparative maps.  
Adopted proactive approach, assessed staff performance, and negotiated with internal and external suppliers, clients, partners, unions, government /official entities. 
Created detailed budget and control reports and submitted final updates to parent company board. Organised periodic coordination meetings with parent company to discuss administrative tasks and suggest appropriate actions.
