Taller de Arte Sonoro (TAS) is an educational institution devoted to teaching the art and science of audio, video, and digital music technology. It was founded in 1986 by Elmar Leal, veteran and well-known audio engineer in Venezuela and the rest of the world. TAS is the first audio institution created in Latin America, and in 1990, the A.E.S. (Audio Engineering Society) selected TAS as the Venezuelan permanent section for the most prestigious and important organization of audio professionals in the world.
