SR. INFORMATION SECURITY RISK ANALYST

Position Description.
CGI has an immediate need for a Sr.
Information Security Risk Analyst to join our financial services team in Belton, TX, Columbia, SC, Plano, TX or Reston, VA.
This role could also be performed in any city where CGI has an office.

Your future duties and responsibilities.
• ​Conduct control design and operating effectiveness assessments to evaluate and improve the strength of the control environment.
• Participate in continuous risk monitoring activities to support division-wide continuous risk assessments.
• Support risk management activities, including performing risk assessments, control validation, and issue management.
• Identify and recommend improvements to processes and controls to drive efficiency.
• Perform root cause and impact analyses, document internal control issues, and evaluate and validate management corrective actions.
• Communicate control testing scope, issues, risks, and recommendations to management in written reports and oral presentations.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• ​8+ years of experience working in and/or with information security, technology, incident management with a focus on the financial services industry, preferably in the mortgage sector.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, endpoint protection, encryption, and identity and access management.
• Knowledge of security policy/ manuals and other guiding policy documents • Understanding of the primary and secondary mortgage business, including regulatory requirements, privacy protocols and industry standards.
• Perform analysis of third-party Cyber Security, Privacy review findings • Perform a security risk impact analysis and ensure security control accuracy and completeness.
• Proven record of accomplishment of implementing and executing risk strategies and protocols in sophisticated, highly regulated environments.
• Superb interpersonal presentation, communication skills, both written and verbal • ​Knowledge of Information Security threat management and incident response • Perform risk activities for the Threat Detection and Response team Education Requirement.
​​​​• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
​​​​• Relevant certifications (e.
., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) preferred, with knowledge of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Cybersecurity framework.
