Hybrid We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automation Test Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in Python and Robot Framework, preferably with a solid background in banking or financial services.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automation solutions to validate mission-critical applications and ensure consistent software quality.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Python and Robot Framework • Create robust test cases for UI, API, and end-to-end testing • Work closely with developers and product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios • Perform test execution, analyze test results, and log defects with appropriate detail and severity • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the automation framework’s continuous improvement • Engage in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives • Ensure test coverage, traceability, and documentation for all test cases Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
Must-Have Skills.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in QA, with a strong focus on automation • Hands-on experience in Python programming for automation • Proficiency in Robot Framework for designing and running test automation • Experience with REST API testing using Robot or Python libraries • Solid understanding of banking or financial services applications • Working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation • Familiarity with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.
., Jenkins) • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative environments • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Goo To Have.
• Experience using Test Management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail • Awareness of banking standards, regulations (e.
., AML, KYC), or Core Banking Systems • QA certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Agile Tester Skills.
