Join us in a significant migration endeavor for a leading financial institution as our Senior Synapse Analytics Consultant, aimed at migrating critical data processes from conventional SQL and SAS DI systems to the advanced Azure Synapse platform.
As a Senior Consultant, you'll bring your expertise in data migration and ETL processes to drive the execution of migration strategies, optimize workflows, and provide technical guidance to the team.
This position is fully remote.
Responsibilities.
Design and execute data migration strategies, oversee transformation processes, and ensure data integrity Collaborate with the team to map ETL workflows, optimize queries, and troubleshoot migration issues Develop migration scripts, oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading activities Assist in mentoring junior team members, offering technical guidance, and facilitating knowledge transfer Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment of technical solutions Requirements.
Experience in data migration, ETL processes, and database management (6 to 10 years) Proficiency in ETL tools (e.
.
SQL, SAS DI), data modeling, and SQL query optimization Strong understanding of cloud-based data platform Azure Synapse Experience with data migration methodologies, scripting languages, and performance tuning Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Fluent in English Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or having a work permit for Portugal Nice-to-Have.
Certifications related to cloud-based data technologies Exposure to agile methodologies or project management certifications Fluency in French At Keyrus Portugal, we offer.
