Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Developer to join our project team.
This role will serve as the liaison for our Tech Lead based in Paris and will be instrumental in the development of a new application for the Middle Office teams at Natixis, aimed at managing client trade limits and exposure.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java Spring for the backend and React (JavaScrip t) for the frontend, along with a passion for delivering high quality software solutions.
Context The Global Banking IT Department is responsible for maintaining operational readiness and evolving the information system for the Global Trade business line within the Corporate and Investment Banking sector.
It particularly supports the businesses managing guarantee products and documentary credit/collections, as well as ancillary products (loans, invoice discounting, deposits), primarily relate d to import/export operations, specifically for Natixis clients.
As part of the improvement of our processes and tools within our Trade Finance department, we are developing a new tool aimed at optimizing the operations of our middle office teams.
This initiative is part of a strategic project spanning three and a half years, which began in September .
The goal is to provide the Natixis Trade Finance Middle Office teams (in Paris, the US, and APAC) with a management tool focused on.
•The validation workflow between Front and Middle Office •The management of financial transaction risk limits, at client, product, and commodity levels •The management of underlying goods transactions and the valuation of goods (both financially and qualitatively) The mission will be carried out within the Risk Management squad as a "Senior fullstack Java Spring / React Developer" in an Agile environment.
The service will be performed in close collaboration with our existing IT team (8 people) based in Paris to ensure the development, quality, performance and maintainability of our application.
This strategic position within our ongoing project will act as a local relay for the project's Parisian tech lead in Porto.
Key Responsibilities Fullstack Development.
Design, develop, maintain and implement scalable and high performance web applications using Java Spring for the backend and React (JavaScript) for the frontend.
Collaborate with team members to ensure the seamless integration of front end and back end components.
Collaboration and Communication.
Act as a key point of contact between the Porto team and the Tech Lead based in Paris, ensuring alignment on project goals and technical requirements.
Participate in project follow up meetings and Agile ceremonies (sprints, reviews, retrospectives, planning poker).
Work closely with Paris team to deliver solutions that meet business needs in the project milestones Set clear, achievable goals for each sprint and ensure accountability for meeting those goals.
Collaborate with the project manager and tech lead in Paris to monitor tasks Progress Reporting.
Provide regular updates on task status, including progress, challenges, and estimated completion dates during daily stand ups and sprint reviews.
Maintain transparency in the development process by sharing clear timelines for deliverables and milestones.
Issue Tracking and Communication.
Proactively identify and communicate any obstacles or challenges encountered during development to the Tech Lead and project manager Use project management tools to document issues and track progress effectively, ensuring visibility for all stakeholders.
Risk Management.
Assess potential risks to project timelines and deliverables and communicate these risks to the project manager promptly.
Collaborate with team members to develop mitigation strategies for identified risks.
Documentation.
Write technical documentation associated with the developments carried out.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and QA to draft test scenarios and ensure comprehensive t esting coverage.
Quality Assurance.
Implement automated tests using tools such as Selenium or Cypress to ensure the quality and reliability of the application.
Optimize application performance, c onduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Manage application deployment and scaling on OpenShift, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Mentorship and Support.
Provide guidance and support to other developers, fostering a collaborative and growth oriented team environment.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Develop a culture of continuous learning and improvement within local Porto team Actively engage with team members to offer assistance and support in overcoming technical challenges and roadblocks.
Foster an open environment where team members feel comfortable discussing difficulties and seeking help.
Qualifications • Frontend.
React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Mui • Backend.
Java, Spring/Spring-boot • Database.
Oracle • APIs and Web Services.
SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger • DevOps and Continuous Improvement Tools.
Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git, as well as test automation tools • Agile/Scrum Methodology Proven experience in large-scale projects, particularly in the financial services or trade finance domain.
Knowledge of micro-frontend architecture is a plus.
Language Skills.
• Proficiency in English at a level of A1.
Knowledge of French would be an advantage due to the functional complexity of the topics.
Education.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience.
Minimum of 9 years of experience in Java (Spring boot) and React development.
Proven experience in developing complex web applications, preferably within the financial services or trade finance domain.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role, guiding teams in a fast paced environment.
Technical Skills.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot).
Strong knowledge of front end technology React (JavaScript) and related frameworks.
Familiarity with databases and API development (REST, SOAP).
Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.
., Jenkins, Git).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using OpenShift or similar platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
