Job Description Job Location.
Madrid, Spain (hybrid.
2 days in the office) Working in Corporate Compliance.
The Corporate Compliance unit has the overall responsibility for the compliance programme in Statkraft, including the topics of anti-corruption, fraud, anti-money laundering, competition law, sanctions and export control, and personal data protection.
The compliance programme is well-established and is adjusted continuously in light of external developments.
As a Senior Compliance Specialist you will be part of a team of 25 full-time professionals based in different geographies.
The team encompasses a variety of professional backgrounds and has a strong focus on collaboration and learning.
You will report to the Iberia Compliance officer, based in Madrid.
Your role.
Reporting to the Iberia Compliance Officer, you will work together with the rest of the team to continuously develop the compliance programme, provide support to ensure that the company complies with the increasingly demanding legislative frameworks and actively mitigates the risks we face in different markets.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to.
Compliance legal advice.
The Corporate Compliance unit has the mandate to provide legal advice on compliance related matters.
You will provide such advice in Spain and Portugal, across a number of legislative topics related to compliance.
Support for M&A and investment projects.
You will provide analytical and advisory support on strategically important M&A and investment projects arising in Spain and Portugal.
Risk assessment and support for mitigation.
You will be involved in supporting management in Spain and Portugal to assess corruption and compliance risks and support for design of mitigation steps in the various business areas.
Integrity due diligence reviews.
You will be involved in conducting integrity due diligence reviews of potential partners for different business areas.
Training and communication activities.
You will be involved in continuing to build a strong business ethics culture, through delivering business ethics and anti-corruption training in Spain and Portugal and contributing to communication initiatives on the topic.
Practical advice.
Provide practical support and advice on compliance to new projects and initiatives in the business areas, as required.
You will collaborate closely with the rest of the compliance unit on cross-cutting collaboration projects, beyond the assigned country responsibilities.
There is a requirement for travelling from time to time.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in law or double degree in Business Administration/Law.
Important.
University degree in Spain or membership of a bar association in Spain Postgraduate degree in Compliance (preferably in criminal Compliance / white collar crime).
7 to 10 years of experience in compliance, anti-corruption and anti-fraud investigations, risk assessments and corruption and fraud prevention.
Previous experience in the energy sector is preferred.
Excellent communication and languages skills.
fluent Spanish and English (C1, C2) is required, and Portuguese would be an advantage.
Team player, can-do attitude, with a good business judgement, collaborating across departments and influencing skills, high flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to continue learning throughout the career.
Solution oriented and ability to deliver, within set timeframes.
Personal integrity and high ethical standards.
International experience would be an advantage.
