SENIOR CAD DRAFTER

Within the Global Project Centre – Lisbon Hub, the Senior CAD Drafter will apply advanced techniques to produce complex drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with company drawing office procedures.
Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities Prepare 3D models and design/fabrication drawings for steel structures and piping (including piping isometrics) using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software for Tender, FEED and EPCI detailed design.
Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for designs and drawings, identify and contribute to find solutions.
Prepare drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with company drawing office procedures.
Conduct self-check on drawing/sketches and undertake checking of others work in a project or department environment within own experience and competence level.
Assist Fabrication as required in the resolution of construction difficulties relating to design problems, clashes, etc.
Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge ·       B.
c.
in Engineering or Technical education related to mechanical or structural engineering.
·       Relevant previous design and drafting experience within the Offshore / Marine / Oil and Gas industry (at least 5 years) in producing subsea structural fabrication, installation method sketches and field layouts.
·       Well versed in industry codes, standards, and design guidelines.
·       Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Vault & Inventor software, and MS Office.
·       Experience in leading a team of designers, checking work, following budgeted hours and deliverable dates etc.
·       Sound communication skills in English, both verbally and written.
