QUALITY (QA/QC) CIVIL INSPECTOR - GERMANY

Monitors the construction quality-assurance/quality-control (QA/QC) programs and conducts detailed audits to assess the level of compliance with the QA systems, procedures, and related-quality activities.
Monitors and audits the quality control (QC) activities, set forth in the QA program, to confirm that products or services provided are in accordance with client quality requirements.
Responsible for all of QA/QC Civil related activities.
Check and review the plans & specifications for the proper construction & quality implementation at job site, perform preinspection to ensure that all installed materials are within the standard in conformance to applicable drawings & specifications, conduct final inspection with owner’s representative prior to proceed concrete pouring and other succeeding work activities that requires step by step inspection as per inspection and testing procedures (I.
.
.)., render monitoring and surveillance on site to control the quality of work being implemented by the Construction Group Duties and Responsibilities.
- Checks and reviews the plans and specifications for the proper construction and quality implementation at job site, perform pre-inspection to ensure that all installed materials are within the standard in conformance to applicable drawings and specs.
- Perform various checks and inspections as required and in line with the Inspection Test Plan, Project Specifications, applicable standards and concrete mix testing protocol requirements; - Performs civil and structural inspections and tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete curing.
- Interprets design plans and specifications to verify the work installed and performed in accordance with the contract documents.
- Produces activity reports as necessary to ensure that all QC activities have been fulfilled.
- Inspects and monitors piling installation to ensure location and bearing.
- Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures as requested by the Construction QA/QC Manager.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.

- Make sure the activities are conducted in strict respect of the Health and Safety project requirements and other HSE applicable standards.
- Monitor the construction activities against the contractual work schedule and in line with the project milestones and reports to its hierarchy accordingly.
Work Experience.
- At least 8-10 years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance and quality control, including 5 years experience in quality management of construction projects.
- Middle East experience must be considered as priority.
Other Skills and Competencies.
- Requires extensive knowledge of quality assurance/quality control management practices, processes and current technology.
- Requires proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to field.
- Requires proven experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO , ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations.
- Requires proven experience as an auditor using ISO standards.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to, conduct presentations to management, and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
- Good knowledge of quality control program requirements and special process/test techniques required.
- Working knowledge of codes, construction sequencing, scheduling, safety regulations and engineering drawing knowledge.
- Must be able to evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop solutions.
- Capable of planning and coordinating the activities of others with excellent communication and interpersonal skill essential.
Requirements (Academic Education).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other equivalent diploma and discipline.
Certifications.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- AWS CWI, CSWIP SWI or approved equivalent certifications - ISO Training Work Conditions.
- Hard worker and can work well even under pressure.
