The primary goal of this project is to predict specific MLB and NBA statistics in order to optimize lineups for Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Key Aspects to Consider.
- The project revolves around predicting performance metrics for MLB and NBA players.
An ideal candidate will have an understanding of the relevant statistical data in these sports.
- Experience with Autogluon is crucial as it will aid in streamlining the process of creating accurate predictions based on the provided data.
- The end goal is to utilize these predictions to optimize lineups for Daily Fantasy Sports.
This requires a strong grasp of the rules and structures of both DraftKings and FanDuel.
- The optimization process needs to consider several factors, including player performance, opponent performance, and injury updates.
These variables are essential in creating lineups that have a high probability of success.
Ideal Skills and Experience.
- Proficiency in Python - Prior experience with Autogluon - A deep understanding of MLB and NBA statistics - Familiarity with Daily Fantasy Sports, particularly DraftKings and FanDuel - An ability to interpret and incorporate player performance, opponent performance, and injury updates into the lineup optimization process.
