PRINCIPAL OPTICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER SPECTROSCOPY PHOTONICS DEEP TECH HEALTHTECH STARTUP

Requirements Strong expertise in applied physics engineering optics photonics or related fields with a demonstrated ability to take a breadboard prototype towards production.
Proven experience working in an experimental setting ideally collaborating with data scientists interdisciplinary scientists and engineers Good analytical skills and mathematical understanding.
Handson experience with optics component characterization and product integration Experience with designing building and optimizing optical instruments or methods that combine electronics optoelectronics fluidics and automation.
Experience with working with ISO QA Track record of working in (interdisciplinary) teams Able to thrive in a fastpaced startup environment that may require adapting quickly to new directions Excellent communication skills capable of translating complex concepts and ideas to nonspecialists in a clear and engaging manner.
Qualifications.
PhD or Master degree in Nanoscience Physics Physical Chemistry or related field.
3 years of experience in industry; working on experimental or applied interdisciplinary science (PhD 2y industry; Master requires longer industry >5y) Experience in developing optical and/or spectroscopy methods that have been experimentally tested and verified Previous collaborations with data scientists bioclinical researchers or engineers is a plus Demonstrated experience in supervising researchers or engineers Additional Information.
