About the Role of Principal Business Analyst Tax.
Performs a variety of complex duties to enable all inbound tax capabilities for the agile implementation of new solution platforms.
SAP S4/Hana, SAP Ariba, and Vertex and their integration with each other.
The role is responsible to identify, understand, and deliver the business and operational requirements by co-designing the solution and strategy, influencing outcomes, advocating on behalf of the business and global process, facilitating decisions, testing, training, creating & leading presentations, and co-architecting and delivering the change management strategy during the software implementation lifecycle.
1) Project Planning, 2) Requirements Gathering, Blueprint, and Design, 3) Build and Develop, 4) Test and Train, 5) Go-Live and Support.
Your key responsibilities will include.
1)    Understand Boston Scientific’s end-to-end Source to Pay and Inbound Tax processes, pain points and past adoption experiences related to Inbound Tax to make recommendations 2)    Analyze data, technical/software documents, and best practices to benchmark to make recommendations 3)    Support, take meeting minutes, and facilitate decisions to decide the integration model of Vertex and SAP/SAP Ariba 4)    Identify, understand, and document requirements and influence design 5)    Coordinate alignment and approval from business and technical stakeholders 6)    Write test scenarios, write test scripts, manage all testing documentation, perform tests, report test results 7)    Create training materials and perform training 8)    Partner with BSC’s business personnel and subject matter experts (e.

GBS, Tax, IT, Shoppers) consultants, software vendors to understand, make recommendations, influence and advocate for leading practices and high adoption outcomes  9)    Co-Plan change management strategy and activities 10)    Prepare and execute the cutover, go-live, and stabilization plan 11)    Prepare content for governance meetings   Inbound Tax StP Background.
⦁    Boston Scientific already uses SAP Ariba’s Guided Buying, Invoicing, Contracting, Sourcing, and Spend Analytics modules globally with SAP ECC (no Vertex).
⦁    SAP S4/Hana and a new version of SAP Ariba and Vertex launched in Oct for 3 sites (Ireland, 2 in Canada).
Vertex and SAP Ariba are not yet integrated and we expect to integrate them via the Magellan and Ariba/Vertex integration program for an agile D3 EMEA launch.
Who are we looking for.
⦁    2+ year experience serving as a Principal Business Analyst during the end-to-end software implementation lifecycle performing all the required tasks noted above.
Experience with agile to deliver tested capabilities in 3 to 6-week sprints   Preferred.
Experience integrating SAP Ariba and Vertex for Inbound Tax.
⦁    3-5+ years business experience in Purchase to Pay areas, especially Invoicing, Buying and Converting Requisitions into Purchase orders, NOT Sourcing or Contracting) and using purchase to pay tools, e.
.
Coupa, VIM; Preferred.
expertise and experience with SAP Ariba.
⦁    3+ years experience working in EMEA region and dealing with Source to Pay/Inbound VAT and withholding tax transactions.
⦁    5+ year experience training and influencing stakeholders to make decisions and adopt new behaviors ⦁    5+ year experience making executive presentations, promptly statusing and resolving actions/issues/risks and creating training materials to status, teach, influence.
⦁    Ability to be resourceful and self-sufficient – creating solutions and recommendations with limited direction and/or no pre-defined conclusions.
