Admission Requirements.
1) General application requirements.
Referring to number 1 of article 10 of the Scientific Research Career Statute, the following is a general requirement for applying for this call.
a) Holding a PhD degree in the areas of Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biotechnology or Bioengineering – valid for national, foreign and stateless candidates; b) Holding a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals an appropriate profile for the activity to be developed; If the doctorate degree has been awarded by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no.
n.º of August 16th by the time of signature of the work contract.
2) Specific application requirements.
a) PhD, completed at least 5 years before the present application, in the fields of Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biotechnology or Bioengineering; b) Research experience in one or more of the following areas.
(I) study of molecular mechanisms underlying pathologies for the development of biopharmaceuticals and new therapies; (II) Cellular Immunology; (III) Cellular metabolism; (IV) Medical genetics c) Demonstrated scientific maturity, in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals (reporting original work), in the areas described above; d) Demonstrated ability to obtain independent funding in public and/or private scientific funding programs; e) Demonstrated capacity to establish and/or coordinate scientific collaborations with public and private institutions; f) Experience in the supervision of master’s and/or doctoral students; g) Fluency in English (oral and written); h) Excellent communication skills (oral and written); i) Excellent interpersonal skills.
Contract and category.
The recruitment is carried out by means of a work contract under the terms of the Portuguese Labour Code, for individuals holding a Doctoral Degree, corresponding to Level 195 of the single remuneration table (TRU), in accordance with Decree-Law no.
11-A /, of December 29.
