MS SQL DBRE

Position Description.
MS SQL DBRE Job Title MS SQL DBRE JD for the MS SQL DBRE role.
• You’ll be responsible for deployment, maintenance, migrating enterprise grade MS SQL Server Database servers to Azure cloud which is highly available including DR.
• You’ll be responsible for managing and supporting Windows servers hosting MS SQL Server Database servers Onprem and on Azure.
• You’ll be responsible for contributing to automating the entire DB migration process, document and perform seamless migration.
• You’ll also be responsible for performance tuning and optimization of the DBs.
• You’ll also be responsible for handling Windows server support, patching, upgrades, migration and ensure PCI compliancy and remediate vulnerabilities Onprem and on Azure.
• You are also required to design and develop efficient automation framework for better management of the Windows platform.
• You’ll be responsible for developing enterprise-grade distributed products that can perform, scale, and integrate into a broad enterprise ecosystem.
• You’ll be required to follow and implement industry best practices for better time to market using latest CI/CD technologies and automate day to day tasks.
• You’ll be required to follow change management process, efficiently handle Priority Sev 1 PRD issues and manage 24/7 on call loops.
About the ideal candidate • You should possess 5+ years of experience working as MS SQL DBA.
• Hands on DevOps experience with Powershell and Ansible.
Working experience on Openstack, Terraforms and on Virtual Infra platform.
Release management process and tools like Git.
• Working experience on Azure or any other public cloud is a must.
• You possess strong communication, collaboration and co-ordination skills, excellent troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
• You are a Self-starter, proactive and can work with minimal supervision.
• You possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Applications.
