We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic client to find a MongoDB + PostgresSQL Database Performance Engineer to join their global team.
Key Responsibilities.
• Database Performance Optimization • Monitor and enhance the performance of MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
• Apply best practices for database maintenance, including indexing, query tuning, and configuration optimization.
• Continuously evaluate database performance and scalability, making proactive adjustments to accommodate growing data needs.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure efficient database interactions in their code.
• Perform regular code reviews and audits to maintain high-performance database operations.
• Offer technical guidance and training to developers on database best practices.
• Design and implement robust database architectures that align with the organization’s requirements.
• Assess and integrate new database technologies and tools to improve functionality.
• Maintain a secure, reliable, and scalable database infrastructure.
Requirements.
• Certification in MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL administration.
• Experience working with cloud-based database solutions.
• Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity.
• Proven track record as a Database Administrator specializing in MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of database structures, principles, theories, and best practices.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or Node.
